Hello!

I'm glad you found me! I'm an intimacy director and coordinator living and working in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've been training and practicing in this work since 2019, and have almost 100 hours of training with Intimacy Directors & Coordinators, Theatrical Intimacy Education, and Intimacy Coordinators of Color. I was also recently accepted into Intimacy Directors & Coordinators Certification cohort for 2023.

I've been able to train with some of the industry's leading figures in intimacy work, including Alicia Rodis (HBO Head of Intimacy), Sarah Lozoff (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Lizzy Talbot (Bridgerton, The Witcher), and Claire Warden (Drama Desk Award nominee, Slave Play). I'm also trained in trauma-informed practices and certified in mental health first aid.

I have a Bachelor's in Theatre Education, and over 20 years of experience in theatre as an actress, director, choreographer, and teaching artist. I bring all of those things to the table when I join your production team. You can read more about my theatre experience here. I am also currently the artistic director of An Other Theater Company in Provo, Utah.

I come to this work from a place of mental health advocacy, social justice, and a passion for storytelling. I serve as both a choreographer and an advocate, and work with the creative team and actors to choreograph powerful stories involving intimacy, nudity, violence/stage combat, and/or vulnerable scenes, while still respecting boundaries.

I'd love to be a part of your project, whether it's big or small. Check out my training and experience, and shoot me an email at lizwhittakeremail@gmail.com!
